Wanna Buy It Wednesday: 49 Tradd Street, Charleston, SC

I love homes with a little history. Built circa 1731, 49 Tradd Street belonged to Colonel George Chicken, a prominent South Carolinian military office who was involved in negotiating treaties with neighboring Native Americans.

The three levels have been restored to their original condition. Original moldings were salvaged as well as the wood floors and spiral staircase. It has 3 bedrooms 3 baths and is on the market for 2.19 million. I love the charm of this beauty!

Don't you wish they built homes with this kind of detail now.

Breathtaking!

This would be perfect for an office or dressing room!

Quite charming for a sunny spring day.

Built-ins

The owners did a great job of marrying the traditional charm with modern elegance. I'm a big fan of the topiaries.
