One of My Favorite Things: Red Coral

My mom bought it for me from Z Gallerie. Coral is always in-style and I love the pop of color it adds to my bedroom.

Congrats to Brittany

Brittany from For the Love of Gold is the lucky recipient of the CSN gift card!! Way to go!

I decided that doing a giveaway is simple way to much fun, so I'm going to have another in a few weeks. More to come later!

Treme

Have you seen it? If not, I'll let you know it's the newest/hottest HBO show about jazz and New Orleans post-Katrina. It is a witty, entertaining depiction of the characters' horrific struggles to restore their beloved homes, businesses and careers. I've only been to New Orleans once and am looking forward to returning again one day. The show reminds me of how beautiful the city is and these photos from Rebecca Plontick certainly capture that.

Mom's Guest Room

Diane Keaton's home in California is very similar to my mother's style. I put this mood board together based on their taste.

Inspiring Style

Diane Keaton's Spanish colonial revival-style home in California is absolutely breathtaking. My favorite aspects of this home are the beautiful tiles, arched doorways and light walls that allow the bright colored accents to really pop.

My parents' home in Florida is of a similar style and I've been helping my mom brainstorm about ways to update her two guest rooms. Although my mom's style is not exactly the same, I love what Keaton has done in her home and am inspired by many of her chosen elements.

In the next post I'll show you a mood board I put together for my mom's guest space. Stay tuned!

Wanna Buy It Wednesday: 102 East Gaston Street, Savannah, GA

It's rustic and quaint. And it's got historical charm with all the modern updates. With 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms 102 East Gaston Street is located in Savannah's beautiful historic district.

This home has beautiful details like arched doorways, built-in bookshelves and antique chandeliers in almost every room. It also has floor to ceiling windows and a guest suite that's perfect for your in-laws. I love the charm and sophistication of this property.

I love this photo. What a great use of space with the doorway under the stairs.
Not tons of counter space, but check out all those built-ins! Also, it looks like there are commercial grade appliances.
The master bedroom has it's own terrace
View into the dining room.
