On Saturday, my parents and I toured this year's DC Design House located in the Forest Hills neighborhood of DC. The 12,000 square-foot English Country Tudor home sits on an acre of land and was built in 1925. Currently owned by the Wasserman family, it's on the market for $4.9 million.
DC has some amazing design talent and I don't believe these photos do the rooms adequate justice. The great room was truly spectacular as were David Mitchell's 19th Century reproduction bird prints and the perfectly manicured gardens. If you haven't been to the DC Design House yet, please consider visiting. All proceeds go to help Children's National Medical Center.
Photos from The Washington Post, etc.
