Needing a Break

This week has been crazy! Aside from meetings, conference calls and a tv appearance, I got into a little fender bender and had a tift with my coworker, among other things. Also, I just saw a snake outside my office. Yikes!

Tomorrow I leave for Washington, DC. I can't wait to see my friend, Claire, and also take care of some business while I'm in the area. I'll be taking a mini-blogger break until Tuesday or Wednesday when I get back.

Etsy Love: Blue Bell Bazaar

Found a great new vendor on Etsy today! I was looking for a decorative trinket for our bedroom and came across a whole slew of lovely things listed by Blue Bell Bazaar. Vases, candlesticks, vintage signs, and even old wine bottles with antique charm.

Dreaming of an Office Nook

Today I'm dreaming of having a quiet, little office space tucked away in a corner of our house with little to distract me. I would craft an inspiring mood board above my desk (that is perfectly organized and accesorized) with photos and fabric swatches.

I love the lamp in this first photo made from a bust. And the linen, nailhead trim bulletin board would be perfect in my apartment.

Great use of space.

An unused closet would be perfect for an office nook.

Overstock Rugs

About a year ago, I purchased a 5x8 rug from Target for my living room. I was eager to find something that would define the space for very little money. The rug, however, ended up looking completely different in person than online (don't you hate that!?). I ended up keeping it, but in the near future I'm hoping to purchase something more fitting for my entertaining area.

I never seem to find what I'm looking for on Overstock except when it comes to area rugs. They have a huge selection at discounted prices. These are some of my favorite finds so far.

My favorite- not too light and not too dark. Fun, but not overwhelming design.

Interesting pattern and color.

Whimsical swirls. I like that this is a light color.

Modern and chic. Wouldn't look good with my chocolate brown sofa, but I still like it.

Wanna Buy it Wednesday: 4535 Wayland Drive

It's Wanna Buy it Wednesday! Today's home is located in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, TN. 4535 Wayland Drive boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms plus an office. I love the cottage style of this home. Everything is bright and white, there is custom woodwork throughout and best of all it has an outdoor fireplace.

Gorgeous chandelier.
