Wanna Buy it Wednesday: 602 West Highland Drive, Seattle, WA

With a killer view, one of the best addresses in town and a stand alone interior, the residence of 602 West Highland Drive is downright HOT! Built in 2006, it incorporates traditional architectural features and modern interior design. Views of the city and Elliott Bay can be seen from the expansive outdoor terrace. Flecks of silver contrasted with dark mahogany are used throughout the house lending a glamorous feel to each space. Furthermore, designer Garret Cord Werner did a phenomenal job with the interior and exterior lighting to highlight the home's best features. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, this residence is on the market for $3.95 million.

Sarah Richardson Design

Sarah Richardson is undoubtedly my favorite HGTV designer. Her style incorporates traditional design infused with modern creativity. Perhaps what I love most about Sarah's rooms is her ability to build off a monocramatic color palette. Below are three examples of her ingenious work- decorated in blue, yellow and red.

Wanna Buy it Wednesday: Home Alone Residence, Part II

If you're like me and can't afford the stately Home Alone residence, you may want to check out the house plan available through Southgate Residences, referred to as "The McAllister."

The architect has also tweaked the plan to provide a better flow and more storage space.

Wanna Buy it Wednesday: Home Alone Residence for Sale!

Although I wouldn't call it a "magnificent dwelling" like Coldwell Banker proclaims, 671 Lincoln Street is, indeed, a beautiful Georgian residence that leaves little to be desired. You may have seen it before, as it is actually the home where the blockbuster movie Home Alone was filmed!

Sitting on a half-acre lot in the Chicago suburbs, it's only blocks from Lake Michigan. The home was built in the 1920's and features massive rooms compared to today's standards, as well as an elegant foyer and sweeping staircase. Oak trees shade the expansive windows lending a sense of seclusion and tranquility. I am particularly fond of this home's floorplan compared to that of other houses I've seen. With 5 bedrooms, multiple storage spaces, a renovated kitchen and a blue stone patio, it's on the market for 2.175 million.  Better hurry!
